Robin Thicke To Experiment With Country, Gospel & Christmas Albums

Robin Thicke is ready to do something different with his music. The singer, whose "Blurred Lines" has dominated airways in recent weeks, is already thinking about his next four albums.
He told Billboard magazine: "I want to get right into the studio. I want to make a country album, a Christmas album, a gospel album. I'm like finally! I'm ready to make four albums right now."
"Blurred Lines" topped the charts in its first week and debuted at number one after selling 177,000 copies following its July 30 release, becoming the first chart-topper for the singer.
But Thicke wasn't very cofident about the record.
"I went into the album with all kinds things in my head like, 'Why didn't my last album sell? How come?'
"I guess I need to freshen it up. I need to take some chances. I need to do something new ... So I did want to push the boundaries and work with some hitmakers to see if they could help me and luckily it all worked out.
"But the good thing is I didn't have to change who I am and what I like. And I almost did. I sang a couple songs I would not have been proud of if I released them."
The R&B singer has been criticised for the lyrics in "Blurred Lines" as well as its racy music video, which sees topless girls frolicking around with Robin and guest vocalists Pharrell Williams and T.I., but he has insisted the track is actually meant to empower women.
