inthemix officially expanded their EDM community and coverage late last month with a move to the U.S. They combined a presence at the Ultra Music Festival with the launch of the "inthemix Power 50" designating the "50 Most Powerful People In EDM 2013." Their top pick is Insomniac's Pasquale Rotella who oversees the Electric Daisy Carnival.
Founded in Australia, inthemix is now officially State-side as well in a move that should only improve their coverage of the currently exploding EDM business scene:
"During the last decade we've watched dance music rise in popularity from the dark recesses of nightclubs to the defining global phenomenon that it is today...Perhaps the biggest change to all this is that the world's biggest music market, the U.S., has embraced the music we love at a rapid place, cementing its position as the most exciting music genre of this generation."
"A recent study by EMI estimated there were now 73 million EDM fans in North America, an increase of nine million from the year before. Traffic to inthemix from the U.S. has doubled in the past six months."
To kick things off they've launched the "inthemix Power 50" featuring the "50 most powerful people in EDM globally."

inthemix chose Pasquale Rotella as top of the EDM business heap because:
"Rotella holds the keys to the leading festival brand in the fastest-growing EDM market in the world. If he decides to sell Insomniac, the suitor he chooses will surely have the upper hand in the EDM 'arms race'."
"Electric Daisy Carnival will be the jewel in the crown of a multi-billion dollar business. For that reason alone he is more powerful than Live Nation's James Barton or Robert F.X. Sillerman at this point in time, because both are after what he has built."
